Foundation Assisted Many This Year

The Sahuaro Cougar Foundation is excited to announce its support of various projects that benefited current Sahuaro High School students. Membership and donations from generous alumni and friends helped make the following happen:

  • Sponsored a student for the HOBY (Hugh O’Brien Youth) scholarship
  • Helped to pay for a student to attend Boys State
  • Donated monies for three teachers’ classes in the Life Skills Project for Adaptive Education classes
  • Helped five students pay for AP Tests
  • Helped to send a student to Earth Camp at the UA
  • Assisted a teacher with a Marine Biology project
  • Gave $200 to each of the six students (2 Freshmen; 2 Sophomores; 2 Juniors) who received the Cougar Spirit Award
  • Gave two $1200 scholarships to one male and one female senior to attend an AZ college or university
  • Paid for the plaques for Sahuaro High School Awards Program to recognize students with a GPA of 4.0
