The purpose of the Sahuaro Cougar Foundation is to perpetuate the history, traditions, and spirit of Sahuaro High School, to support the activities of its students and staff, to provide services to the Alumni, and to invoke a system of honors and awards that recognize the achievements of the students, staff, and alumni.

The Sahuaro High School Cougar Foundation is heartbroken to share the passing of Coach Bob Vielledent — “Coach V”. Coach was a Cougar in every sense of the word.
Coach V began his journey at Sahuaro at just 23 years old, going on to shape the lives of countless students and athletes over a remarkable career as a teacher, coach, and Director of Athletics. He was inducted into the Sahuaro Cougar Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame in 2009; honors that only begin to reflect the impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
